Framing

Here at Riverbourne Framing we are bespoke picture framers who produce hand crafted picture frames in our on-site gallery workshop. Every picture framing project is discussed fully with our customers to ascertain conservation requirements, frame style, mount and glass combinations to suit the artwork and the room in which the frame will be hung. For those customers who arrive at the gallery with works of art they wish to preserve and for future generations to enjoy, we supply a conservation framing service. In such cases specialist materials are used to help preserve the artwork and protect it from harmful indoor and outdoor ultra violet light rays by using conservation grade UV glass that blocks 99% of UV light. In addition to the standard quality artboards used for mounts there are a range of acid and lignin free museum quality (100%
cotton) boards that help protect and preserve valuable artworks and photography.

There are over 1000 frame mouldings in the range from manufacturers based in England, Spain and Italy. All mouldings are ordered by three metre lengths from which Ashley cuts and hand crafts customers’ frames. Every frame made by Ashley is signed by him on the reverse, Ashley is very proud to put his name to every frame he lovingly produces. Our reputation for precise and dependable service means we are often recommended to our customers’ friends, family and work colleagues, helping to spread the word of Riverbourne Framing within the local community.
